Is it cheap? No. Is it expensive? No. Is it more than I'd normally spend on a family meal? Yes. Was it the best steak I've ever eaten? By far the best. Was it the nicest red wine I've had? Easily. I've eaten at Michelin star places and many of Ramsays places due to being lucky in my past. The food I had at Nonnas was ad good as if not better than anything I've eaten before. Also the Italian manager is awesome.

We felt really welcomed at Nonna's and had a lovely experience. Service was excellent, from staff who made every effort to ensure customer satisfaction. Highlights of the meal, where my wife's roast lamb dish, which was super tender and had great flavour, and the chocolate mousse dessert which was rich, indulgent and smooth. We had cocktails with our meal which were well made and packed a punch too

Visited early Monday evening for family celebration. Shown to our pre booked table straight away. Drinks orders were taken. Took up the offer of buy two glasses of wine for the price of one before 7pm (selected wines). The food menu selection was really interesting. The waiter took three attempts to take our order as the choices were so difficult to make. He took it all in his stride. Once taken, our courses arrived in a timely manner and no one was left waiting for a dish. Everything we received was outstanding. Well cooked and well presented. We were in there some 2&1/2 hours we were at no time under any pressure or obligation to leave. Although it got busy as the night progressed it was never noisy. Quite relaxing. All in all we had 2 beers, 6 glasses of wine and a bottle of champagne. Very generous and varied starters. Great tasting main dishes that were of generous sizes. Rounded of with delicious desserts. 301. Sounds a lot maybe? I don't know. We all considered it good value.

Had a wonderful evening here with family celebrating my wife’s birthday. The food was excellent, delicious & authentic Italian, the place had a really cosy feel to it & the staff were so friendly & helpful. We’d definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a bit more of a ‘special’ meal out & will definitely return if we’re back in Sheffield again

Finally our reviewer has committed to writing up a visit to Nonnas! But before reviewing this simple visit for coffee on 16-December, we must set the historic record straight. Our reviewer has visited Nonnas many times in the past 25 years, but we never nailed him down! So here it is... Congratulations Nonnas on providing the ultimate five-star package for what is probably, the best restaurant, cafe and wine bar in Sheffield. It's a simple case of the sum of the parts is greater than the whole. And that means that if something didn't quite measure up to five-stars, the rest makes up for it, and you come away feeling Nonnas got it completely right. Nonnas caters for everyone, young, old and all those in the middle. Yes, there's a loud crowd on weekend evenings and yes, you struggle to get a table when you don't book in advance, and yes, the food just very occasionally can be more cafe than restaurant, but it tastes amazing! Our reviewers' late mother epitimised many customers... she loved coming here, even with all the noise, as she felt special, appreciated and loved the way the maitre d' made a fuss over her. And so to the coffee visit this evening... Our reviewer popped in, as a last minute decision and ordered an Americano at 1803hrs. The waitress Magdelina said well, actually coffee was no longer being served after 1800hrs... after a quick smile, a great coffee was served to the reviewer's table without delay. Thank you Nonnas for everything you do!

One sees the small restaurant from outside and... and it really doesn’t matter what you think. They pizza is simply the best. Believe me, I have tried thousands.

Superb Italian restaurant. All the food was great, but the stand out dish was the nduja risotto which had a perfectly mild chilli heat level for me. I will definitely add it my risottos at home!

Fantastic experience, as always, at Nonna's Sheffield. I'd highly recommend the risotto nduja and the lasagne. The garlic bread with cheese is an absolute must too!
